My daughter joined jelly bears In April this year and she has loved every minute. She really enjoys all of the staff and gets so excited when I arrive and can’t wait to meet everyone. The staff are so caring and take time to tell us how she’s getting on at drop offs and pick ups. My daughter is so happy coming back from nursery and you can clearly tell each day she is there, she’s had an amazing day. We get daily slips of what they have been up to so that we can talk to our daughter about it and it’s nice to see what she gets up to, which is a lot or activities. I can ask the nursery anything and they are always accommodating and helpful with any queries/questions. I couldn’t pick a better nursery and staff for my daughter so thank you for making it so easy for us to drop her off and know she’s having a fantastic time.
Jelly bears has always exceeded my expectations of a nursery. - Communication from management and key worker is great and I cannot fault it. The setting and staff have a huge impact on the growth of my child in terms of her talking and socialising with other children. - I like that the staff bring the children together at the start of the day to learn about the weather and the day of the week. - Jelly bears go the extra mile to provide fun & educational activities for parents to do at home with their child & the interest the staff have in what the child has been up to and how they incorporate their interests in their day at nursery whilst learning. Throughout my child's time at Jelly Bears I have seen her compassion, kindness and politeness grow. - Quite importantly too... my child eats better than I do! Fantastic ideas for meals & my child comes home with a full tummy every time! I can ask the nursery anything and they are always accommodating and helpful with any queries/questions. I couldn’t pick a better nursery and staff for my daughter so thank you for making it so easy for us to drop her off and know she’s having a fantastic time.
Jelly Bears is an incredibly warm, welcoming nursery that successfully creates an atmosphere where as a parent I feel that my views are both encouraged and valued. Kim and the team ensure we feel a partnership with the nursery through parent questionnaires and encouraging participation through termly voluntary home activities and sharing photos etc. of family activities. My son loves sharing photos of himself and his key worker always gives feedback about what they talked about. All staff are approachable, friendly and keen to help and there is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone. Clear feedback is given daily, whether verbally or as a written overview, about what my child has been doing or what he is working towards which is really lovely to hear. This year I had a new baby and was incredibly impressed with nursery's willingness to help the family as a whole - they prepared our son Theodore for his sibling really well. Additionally, Kim let me know they were there to offer any other support I might need in regards to looking after Theodore, especially nearing to my due date when I may had difficulty getting him when there was little other support due to Covid restrictions. My second son had his place booked before he was even born which is testament to the hard work and success of Jelly Bears!
My 3yr old has been coming to jelly bears since he was 11months. I particularly value the ‘family feel’ and ‘home from home’ feel/approach the nursery has. The quality of care towards the children is fantastic. My little one is always excited to arrive, and full of beans at pick up telling us about his day. The staff are fab, so caring and nurturing towards the children, and what I’ve always liked is even the staff in other rooms know all children by their first names and greet them as such in passing or when opening the door. Reassuring to know meals are home cooked, and well thought through in terms of nutritional value. My child has come on leaps and bounds with his learning as well as social interactions. The staff feedback any issues or concerns either face to face, or a telephone call if giving advanced warning - of an incident (bump) for example. Communication from the manager is brilliant, with regular newsletters and emails to keep us all up to date - especially during these difficult COVID times. It appears staff have maintained excellent COVID - procedures, with hand washing at the door (drop offs) and all can be seen to be wearing a face covering of some kind. In terms of quality of care, I would not consider sending my child any where else. Thanks Kim and everyone at jelly bears!
When we looked around childcare settings for our boys, there was only one place we felt we wanted to send them to and from the moment we set foot into Jelly Bears we were delighted with the atmosphere and staff. We loved that Kim had built the setting of her dreams. Every time they have answered the door, there has been a smile. We feel that all the staff care deeply about the children and that there is a holistic approach to their learning. This was clear to us at the parents’ evenings they held, whether this was in person or virtually under covid restrictions. We have been so impressed with the knowledge of the curriculum and next steps were frequently set for our children. We always knew who their keyworker was and felt that our children achieved well in the setting. There is a real sense of team-work and whoever ended up having the hand over conversation gave personalised and detailed updates about their days. This was particularly helpful when our boys were aged 1-2. The staff do create personalised learning opportunities and were quick to tailor these to the boys interests. From vehicles to outdoor play, we always felt like their interests and needs were met. The learning journeys are things of beauty! Wow! We will treasure them forever. We regularly received homework challenges, and information about events. These were really useful and the boys loved sharing their home learning with their key workers and friends. We have recently had our fourth child and we have already signed them up to start at Jelly Bears in October 2022. As parents, there is no bigger compliment to the setting than this. Kim, Wendy and the team are amazing!
Many thanks from the heart for Jelly Bears, for love, dedication, patience to the children, caring when they were not feeling well, making a fun and interesting environment. Every single member of staff from the management, the caretakers to cook knows children very well and genuinely cares for all of them, while menu is freshly prepared, nutritious and tasty..( Maximilian is eating very well there, I guess I would need some cookery lessons to extend his well eater habit;) My son absolutely love being there, he's very excited to see his friends and can not wait for the next time. Daily feedback is great, they really care about his learning and development and ensure parents are involved too! I would highly recommend Jelly Bears to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son
